Information the app accesses

If you choose to connect Gmail, Reconsider It requests read-only access to search for and read emails that appear to be Apple receipts, invoices, purchase notices, or refund notices. Receipt details may include product names, purchase dates, prices, currency, order identifiers, and the email account used to connect.

The app also stores information you enter or select, such as your monthly gaming budget and game-classification choices.

How information is used

Receipt information is used to identify gaming purchases, calculate spending totals, display trends, and help you compare spending with your budget. Gmail access is not used to send, modify, or delete email.

Storage and retention

Imported transaction details, budget settings, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. Reconsider It does not upload receipt contents to a Reconsider It server. Local data remains until you delete it in the app or remove the app from your device.

Google user data

Google Sign-In and the Gmail API are used to authenticate your account and retrieve matching receipt messages. Reconsider It's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Sharing, selling, and advertising

Reconsider It does not sell your personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or share Gmail receipt contents with data brokers. Data is exchanged with Google only as needed to provide sign-in and Gmail access that you request.

Your choices and controls

In the app's Settings, you can delete imported transaction data or disconnect Gmail. You can also revoke Reconsider It's Google access from your Google Account permissions. Disconnecting Gmail signs you out and removes imported purchase data from the device.

Children's privacy

Reconsider It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated as the app changes. Any revised policy will be posted here with a new effective date.
